In 2009 Adele Cassina, the daughter of Cesare, the founder of Cassina, decided to keep the cultural heritage left by her father alive. Thus a new furniture design brand “Adele C” was established. The collections reflect the character of the founder:understated, self-assured, eager to introduce original components to the world of furniture, perfecting and expanding their functionality.Eclectic, unusual lines take life, characterized by a sober elegance that will last over time, with special features. The showroom in Via Marsala becomes not only the exhibition space for the collections but the venue for a series of meetings and discussions on the affinity of methodology and thought. The first event in October 2018 hosted Sonia Pedrazzini’s Le Morandine, an iconic collection of ceramic vases that pay homage to Giorgio Morandi. Through the design of a series of ceramic vases, made in the artist’s typical colours, Sonia gives three-dimensionality to objects that Morandi represented in his still lifes, exalting their characteristic elongated shape. Next, to the opaque Morandian hues, Sonia introduces original nuances in bronze and gold, as if to create a counterpoint and render the objects precious. Adele brings together the design of arts and crafts in the first meeting, reflecting the circularity of the arts.
