Walter De Silva, known internationally as a car designer for large car manufacturers such as Fiat where he started his career at the age of 21; Alfa Romeo, for which he designed the Alfa 156, 166 and 147; Seat, Audi and Volkswagen, for which he created icons such as the Golf and the Polo. He ended his career as a car designer in December 2015 and has since then become a designer of footwear for women. His secret dream was to give life to Walter De Silva Shoes, together with his wife Emmanuelle. Ever since the first collection he has revealed unexpected skills, proposing elegant stilettos, in line with the latest fashion trends. The Spring Summer 2019 collection with its essential, slender lines confirms his talent as a footwear stylist, featuring orange lining, the common denominator of a varied range, including classical models in one or two colours and patterned models. There is a marbled model and a courageous figurative model called Baby, with pin up girls and skirts lifted by the wind, inspired by Marylin Monroe in the famous film “The Seven Year Itch”. The common denominator of the new proposals is, once again, the stiletto 11 heel that characterizes all of Walter De Silva’s creations.
