During Milan fashion week (21-25 February 2018), eclectic, creative designer, Alessandro Enriquez presented a new range of bags. Like the able story teller he is, every one of his collections takes up the threads of a story. This time the theme is travel and it’s no coincidence that the title is “Around the World”. Proposals include cotton jacron bags, designed to look like shopping bags and embroidered with a “list of rules to pepper through the day”. The clutches, also in cotton jacron, are embroidered with old food labels. Other clutch models are dedicated to travel: one is embroidered with Algiers; a blue nappa model bears the embroidered label of an imaginary airline, and a shoulder bag in pink nappa is embroidered with Las Vegas. There are also clutches and messenger bags with the portraits of Alessandro Enriquez, who, like a real narcissist, loves to show himself in different contexts on his creations. We should acknowledge Alessandro’s place at the top of message-fashion – one of the most currently widespread trends.
