Brazilian Cariocan, Paula Cademartori has lived and worked in Milan, in via Borgogna, since graduating from the Marangoni Institute. In 2010, after a period working in Versace’s accessories style office, she launched a brand of bags and shoes that have been in the Diesel collection for a season now. Italian by adoption, Paula puts the exuberance and colours of her homeland into her creations. Her recognisable style, especially the bags, that in a short space of time have become genuine cult objects, involves square, compact shapes, enlivened by unexpected hide patchwork. The outline of her bags is like a painter’s canvas, where Paula expresses her creative liveliness, daring to use courageous colour combinations that make them instantly identifiable; they are also characterised by a special, personally designed metal buckle thanks to her experience in the jewellery industry. It is no coincidence that Renzo Rosso welcomed her into his circle of experts where her skills could blossom.
