Bonotto, luxury textile company from Vicenza, under the aegis of art director Cristiano Seganfreddo, proposed a collection of tapestries created in collaboration with Miniwiz, world leader in the field of upcycling, staging its exhibition in the Milan showroom located in Via Durini, in a historical building, with a Japanese-style garden and an indoor swimming pool in the basement. The multi-coloured tapestries that decorated the space were not made with precious yarns but recycled waste materials. A project with a message to convey that could easily revolutionise the world of textile production. “Beautiful things must also be virtuous” states Cristiano Seganfreddo. The trash tapestries are figurative and represent a lush nature of bright colours, providing an ideal frame for the swimming pool in which clear plastic bottles sail, to underline the humble and ethical origin of so much verdant beauty.
