The inauguration of the new Venini store, back in Montenapoleone thanks to the brand’s purchase by Damiani, was an opportunity to admire the brand masterpieces on the two floors, together with the new stand-out creations of Emanuel Babled. This nomadic designer, originally from Biarritz, studied design in Milan before moving to Venice to dedicate himself to his glass sculptures and now recently he has moved to Lisbon, while maintaining his ties to Murano, where he returns regularly. In the panorama of glass creation, Emanuel stands out for his plastic approach, almost as if his aim is to restore a marble consistency to his glass materials. His work also contains many marble and glass contaminations. These vases, which are not suited to flowers, belong to the category of furnishings destined to be admired for their daring volumes and unusual material contaminations.
